Which Co-Hosts Are Returning?
You’ll probably be happy to hear that all The View co-hosts will return for Season 27. It was confirmed that moderator Whoopi Goldberg and co-hosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro are all returning to the table.
This will be Whoopi’s 16th year as a co-host after joining in 2007. Joy was an original co-host in 1997 and is still the longest-serving co-host. She has been co-hosting the show every season, except for Seasons 17 and 18. Sunny and Sara joined in Season 20, and Ana and Alyssa came to the table in Season 26.
The Show’s Success
For the third year in a row, The View has ranked number one among all daytime talk shows, engaging about 2.375 million total viewers for the season. Executive producer Brian Teta shared that he was really proud, and gave credit to Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie, who created the show’s concept.
Season 27 Premiere Date
Season 27 will air on September 5th. In Season 27, Ana and Alyssa will continue their roles as co-hosts. Thankfully, Joy has also signed a new contract and doesn’t have any plans to retire. She will be turning 81 in October.
