19 years ago, people were glued to their television sets every week to watch the next episode of Prison Break. Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller have shared the screen a few times since the show ended, and now they’re back together once more. While it may not be as the brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Schofield, their upcoming series series holds a lot of promise.
The New Show
The show is called Snatchback, and it’s currently in development. In this series, Purcell and Miller will be playing operatives who are part of a private team that is hired to rescue hostages across the world.
Viewers will be delighted by the exotic locations the team is sent to. This series was inspired by the real-life events of an operative that is still active today.
Prison Break Plot Breakdown
If you have never watched Prison Break, then you are missing out. Each episode is filled with action sequences and plot twists that will make your head spin. Miller played a structural engineer who deliberately got himself incarcerated to help his brother, played by Purcell, escape death row.
Once free, they began to uncover the shadowy world of The Company, an unscrupulous organization that would stop at nothing to get what they wanted. This series may be an oldie, but newcomers to the show continue to enjoy it.
The Final Break
Prison Break first aired in 2005 and ran till 2009, and a movie was released in 2017, aptly named The Final Break. Sadly, this was the last time anyone saw the two brothers together. However, both Purcell and Miller have starred together in other roles, such as The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
Rumors ran amok that there could be a series six of Prison Break, but this failed to come about. Charlie Collier, who was the former CEO of Fox, announced, much to the dismay of the show’s fans, that there were no plans to revive the series.
